The outbreak of Ebola exposed the collective vulnerability within the region and emphasized the need for a sub-regional response to developing and strengthening our health, social systems, and structures. To support this, the MRU has designed an action that looks at improving:
- health,
- gender and women’s empowerment,
- youth empowerment and
- education and training
